The LG SN9Y is a premium 5.1.2-channel sound bar system delivering a total of 520 W from the main unit and 220 W from its wireless 7″ bass-reflex subwoofer. The sleek main bar (1220 × 57 × 145 mm; 6.3 kg) pairs with the subwoofer (221 × 390 × 312.8 mm; 7.8 kg) in an elegant Dark Steel Silver finish. Inside, Meridian-tuned drivers include dual 40 × 100 mm woofers and 20 mm silk-dome tweeters for front and center channels, two 40 × 100 mm side surrounds, and dual 2.5″ upward-firing top speakers, all closed-box designs for tight, accurate reproduction.
Connectivity is comprehensive: HDMI 2.1 (in/out, HDCP 2.3) with e-ARC and ARC, optical input, USB, Bluetooth 5.0 (SBC), Wi-Fi dual-band, Chromecast built-in, and Wireless Rear Ready for adding LG wireless surrounds. It decodes Hi-Res Audio up to 24 bit/192 kHz, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby Vision and HDR10 passthrough, and supports FLAC, WAV, MP3, AAC, OGG and more from USB or network sources. A five-character LCD auto-dims to ambient light and a companion app offers user EQ, AI Room Calibration, night-time and dynamic-range controls, Auto Volume Leveler, Bass Blast+, and AI Sound Pro presets.
Convenience features include SIMPLINK, TV-remote volume and mute control, Sleep Timer, EZ Setup via BLE, FOTA updates, A/V Sync Delay (0–300 ms), and USB host charging. Energy-efficient SMPS power supplies draw just 70 W (main) and 38 W (sub) in use, 0.5 W each in standby. Matching TVs 55″ and up will bring this system to life with true cinematic immersion.
