The Kumho Ecsta PS71 summer tire is one of the new products from the South Korean brand. Like other models in this line, it is designed for passenger cars, specifically for the most dynamic versions, as it belongs to the UHP (Ultra High Performance) category. The development was done from scratch, so the tire looks nothing like the previous model with the KU39 index, surpassing it in most characteristics, including braking distance and wet surface grip. Improved compound The advantage in wet grip properties is largely due to the physical-chemical properties of the rubber compound. The mixture now contains a range of next-generation high-tech materials: butadiene-styrene rubber and special polymers, which allowed an increase in the silica content. As a result, the tread literally sticks to the road surface, ignoring its low temperature during rain. New tread design Another innovation is the tread pattern. Like the previous model, it has an asymmetric directional design, but it provides much more performance, especially on wet surfaces.
